Half-day pass 30,000 won, full-day pass 5,000 won. The price is a bit high compared to the existing library, but the clean space like pure white drawing paper, furniture that can only be seen in exhibition halls, and various art book collections are going straight to this place. Sojeon Seorim (素磚書林) means “a forest of books surrounded by white bricks”. Even if you visit this place on a day that is hot enough to burn your back in the intense sunlight, as the name suggests, the space surrounded by white bookshelves gives you the illusion of entering a snowy winter. The bookshelves are lined with 40,000 books in the fields of literature, art, and humanities, carefully selected by poets and critics. There are a variety of domestic as well as overseas magazines, so the time passes by in spite of the fact that the half-day ticket is sold out. Besides, you can have time to read in Le Corbusier's lounge chair or Finn Yule's armchair, which you have admired only with your eyes, so you have no choice but to open your wallet willingly. The swivel-type cube chair in the center of the space looks a bit uncomfortable to the eye, but when you actually sit down, the seat plate moves according to the movement, making it easier to read a book. If you want to cool off while reading, you can come out to the courtyard and swing on a bruise, or have a cup of coffee or a drink at Cafe Two by Two on the first floor. On your next visit, buy a full-day ticket and try to get drunk in the West in the Forest of Books all day. - spot_editor
