Nam-Seoul Museum of Art
Gwanak-gu, Seoul โข Entertainment
The place that moved the real Europe instead of following Europe. This space was the Belgian consulate. So, simply put, it is not designed to imitate Europe, but just Europe. In the past, this space was located in Hoehyeon-dong. After the liberation in 1977, it was moved to the current location in Sadang-dong. Although it is not the land where it took root, the consulate, which has acquired a new business as an art museum here, becomes a part of the work of real style and all experiences from the traces of time. - Belgian Consulate, now better known as 'Nam Seoul Museum of Art', this building was originally located in Hoehyeon-dong. - The Belgian consul left during the Japanese occupation, and it was used as the official residence of the Japanese military. It later became a commercial bank building. Time passed after liberation, and it was only recognized as a building of historical value in 1977, but it was dismantled and moved to the present shrine on the condition that it be moved the same after dismantling, saying that it cannot stay on the land of Hoehyeon-dong. - So the former Belgian Consul, which became the present 'Nam Seoul Museum of Art', has a classic architectural style that is rare in Korea. You can even go inside and look around. The hand marks that have been around for about 100 years and the senses of worn and faded wood here and there are a great attraction for visitors. - Putting that aside for a while, this building with such historical curves is now being used as an art museum, contrary to what we saw from the shrine. - Similar to many European countries, this building is not only looked at over and over like a collection of a museum, but how it is currently used and how it is intended to continue its legacy. - Like the ancient architecture from Greece and Rome and the classical architecture that inherited it. Shouldn't we also not forget and remember the stories of the modern past? - The Nam Seoul Museum of Art is currently exhibiting the story of the time axis and architecture of this space. - Step by step that came, the creaking floor as if answering that you had come well. - And the large windows in the old style, which are hard to see, show the true meaning of how you endured the wind and waves with the light coming in. - Aren't you curious about their stories? I hope you can feel it in this space right now-๐๐ป - architechu
