ongeundal
Seongdong-gu, Seoul • Cafe
Onggeun, an old saying that says it's not getting any better - It's a building that renovated an old factory in a seongsu-dong, but it is a place where the prevailing sentiment is that it's much better than it's ruined. This is where the one sentence that struck the line as a fundamental answer to the question “What is the value of old things?”, “If there is no Oram, is there now?” is the place that comes to mind. - “The traces of the past influence the present.” This is what the philosopher Jacques Derrida said. It is a powerful sentence as many sagas have been derived from this concept. - So is space. Rather than uncritically accepting the old, it is very important to think about how the traces of the past should be dealt with in the present. - Beyond the concept of preservation of the past, coexistence with the past is always a question posed to all architects. So is my last student work. - I am still thinking deeply about what kind of light I want my last student work to look like, but my story has power. This is because it contains the long-standing concerns and reflections of mankind. - I introduce this place with the wish of only doing this space. - This is #Onggeundal located on Yeonmujang-gil in Seongsu-dong - Location _ 333-52, Seongsu-dong 2-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul - Use of parking nearby - Business hours 10-23 - The menu is attached. - Ps.
