love the logos - Modern architecture follows the Platonic philosophy that has dominated Western philosophy for a long time in the past. In the past, this has been preserved as 'logos' or 'idea' by forming images with words such as identity and unity. And in the modern era, new spaces do not appear, and modern architectures that 'anti-' these appear. Of course, history cannot be divided into halves, like a knife, and at the same time, how to discuss and handle the transitional period is very important and difficult to determine. But today, it can be said that it is right to start the story by saying, 'History places importance on the process in which the afterimages of the past make a difference and reveal a different meaning from the present' [Jacques Derrida's *difference]. - Those who are too well known by their names, 'Jacques Derrida', 'Peter Eisenman', and 'Coop Himmelblau [Company]', the protagonist of today's story. In order to discuss modern architecture, we need to closely examine the footsteps and development processes of the 'philosophers' and 'architects', but the topic prepared by the author today is 'What is a new space after this era that is said to be modern?'. To put it simply, modern architecture is still continuing its genealogy and creating new spaces in myriad ways. Is history a prediction of the future? Therefore, we need to look at the footsteps of the old 'space artists' who are active in the past and now. Obviously, 'corona' is because the types of spaces in which we enjoy life are rapidly changing. I would like to tell the story by tearing down today's building. - 'Coop Himmelblau''s 'Cinema Hall' is a 'non-territorial space' that is a 'blurred space' that Peter Eisenmann has expressed architecturally by accepting Derrida's 'Against' in the past. “Is it a road? Is it a bridge? Is it a hallway? Is it the space in front? Is it a clear movement space?” It makes it difficult to clearly separate all questions. You can say, 'What kind of noise is the author making?' To put it more intuitively, it is that purposeless spaces are experienced according to the individual's movement and intentions and make meaningful interpretations. The sense of space here is like changing the way people live as time passes and approaches. The meandering and curved bridges in the air, glass railings and thin lines, and the undefined area of the floor constantly create spaces of topology that are not clearly understood by Euclidean geometry. The dynamic and tense forms created by the atypical forms make the feelings felt in this space faithful to the present rather than neatly arranged. - This space does not 'define' it. Obviously, it is the process that continues to make a difference and reveals the meaning, and it can also be the act itself. It's such a cryptic sentence, but wouldn't we be able to understand it if we look at each of our lives? Even if I live with my heavy beliefs, when a rough wave arrives, I loosen the anchor that tied the boat and ride the wave and adapt to the changing height and create meaning. Then, how will we handle this turbulent time as if we were moving forward again? This is the story this space tells. - Those who opposed the logos of the past and led the modern architecture of today. The author also reads in their footsteps again, leaving a question about the future and ending the article. - So, what will we experience and hear in this changing era to recreate our own meaning? - This is the #Cinema Hall of Busan Centum City, a space that informed the change of the time of upheaval. - Location _ Seoul Cinema - Program _ Movie theaters, movie archives, academy, exhibitions, musical theaters - Parking available - Business hours _ 09-20 - *Chayeon: The phenomenon that has always been postponed precedes and makes a difference causes – Some excerpts from contemporary architecture and non-representation. Author, Inha Jung - PS. This space is being operated in accordance with the 2nd stage of the government's Corona Prevention Guidelines, so please refer to it to avoid any inconvenience in using the space.
