Literary Museum of Poet Yun Dong-ju
Jongno-gu, Seoul • Culture
Even a single cosmos will move you. How do you keep your innocence? Let's take time to reflect on ourselves through the attitude he showed us a long time ago. Purity is perhaps the strongest spirit. - The pressurized field of the soul [quote from the spatial description] - A poet I have liked very much since childhood. There was a time when I read a poem from a literature textbook and my heart was moved. A very famous verse, 'I looked up to the sky until the day I die so that I have no shame. Since then, I have loved his poems, such as 'Self-Portrait' and 'Poetry Written Easily.' - 'Dong-Ju Yun' - It is said that he never wentssip about anyone during his lifetime. He was pure until the end. It is said that he was a child with a special courage, although he was a simple child that quickly shed tears when he heard a single voice when he was young. Even as he grew up, he maintained that innocence. You can tell by looking at his work and by looking back at his life. The day that such an innocent child went to study abroad in Japan, unable to overcome her father's invitation. How do we know that feeling, 'the unfathomable pain'? And how did you get over it? In the meantime, how could he keep his innocence? - In retrospect, the author is a worn-out person. Since I was young, I had to do it if I could make money at that age, and I did it without hesitation and got the pay for that day. I saved that little money to pay for academy, and I lived like that, buying the textbooks I wanted to study. As a result, I want to confess that I am someone who has experienced 'good money' faster than 'how to see the world'. It is only now that the author wants to become a 'person who cares about the world' belatedly, but it is true that he is a worn-out person who has never cried or collapsed in front of money. It was hard and I lost a lot of innocence. - So, the author respects and loves the innocence of our mothers who are moved by even a single flower. How did you keep it that way? That girl's heart... Is it something I can do? and still have doubts. - 'Dong-Ju Yun' - Even in the dark and difficult situation during the Japanese colonial period. He never lost his passion for poetry. In fact, the poems he hadn't even published while he was alive are those that came out of him after he died. Also, the record that he spoke Korean even when he went to Japan shows that he did not succumb to a power that, presumably, did not look like money. At least the author has had a dream he wants to try through 'space' since he was 9 years old, and feels a little comforted by being one of those people who did not give in to the poor reality and kept his dream. - It is true that the environment really makes people difficult and difficult. 'The environment must be good.' It's not wrong. But not all are correct. There are living Witnesses who have kept their innocence, and they cannot declare unequivocally that their circumstances are as good as they are now. So, I want to say that 'self, inner environment' is more important. The will and courage to change your mind and act on your own. And the strong stamina that supports it. A little encouragement to me as a child who thought I knew nothing, but knew a lot of things I didn't need to know. 'Still, I kept as much purity as the wick left at the end of the candle. Well done.' - I take comfort in not running away, but it's not the first time I've thought about giving up in a real situation. He is still not in a very good situation, but he is moving towards his dream. That is why, sometimes, we are shaken and broken by temptations and difficulties that shake our souls. Every time it happened, I heard stories that gave me strength. And this time it came again. - The space was originally a 'pressurizing field'. It was a facility for watering apartments in the mountains. This space, where the apartment was demolished and abandoned, had to withstand the news of the demolition several times, but it maintained the purity of the pressurized chamber and became the current space as another pressurized chamber. The space was small, but it was a solid space where you could feel the story. The section going to the video exhibition hall, which contains his life audiovisually, has a distinctly different resonance from other exhibition halls. The old, huge concrete courtyard with the pressurizer was a space with a ceiling, but it is removed and the pure sky is captured. And you can step into the dark times he went through and experience his life. - His life lifted my soul. - It is not a change of attitude through relative comparison. It was an inner change that contained pure longing and respect. It was the moment when the wick at the tip of the candle that had remained small was burning again. - This is the #Yundongju Literature Museum at the foot of Mt. Cheongunsan.
