Unam Sanbang, Seongbuk-dong, a place where the spirits of writers stand, is one of the two must-visit places in autumn. If you wander aimlessly through this place, which is also an urban organization of historical and cultural relics, you can easily encounter these spaces. This is a place where writers in the past used to explore literature. Moreover, 'Numaru' in hanok is the place that best captures the seasons. So, shouldn't we look at the time when the most beautiful season is included? It is a very good place to have a time of contemplation with hot tea. - In 1933, nine writers discussed literature in this house. - If there is one person we know really well out of those nine, it is the poet Jeong Ji-yong who wrote 'Window'. This house is the home of one of the Gu In-hoe writers, Sang-heo Lee Tae-joon. The style is an improved hanok. It is 工-shaped, and the main building is on the right with the room across from the entrance to the left. Despite its small size, this space has a 'numaru' that protrudes from the master bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are arranged on one side, so functional rooms are attached for a hanok. Moreover, the scenery of the garden you can enjoy in Numaru is beautiful. - This is a place I was looking for knowing that it is a historical site. I went there thinking that I could only see with my own eyes how long and how long a person lived. When he came to the historical site that he didn't know he was really a person, he asked him to take a numbered ticket. It also informs you of the waiting order through KakaoTalk. Miraculous. Just when it is said that these small ruins are very popular these days, a loud noise is heard from inside. The view from outside the door for a moment was fantastic. - There was a beautiful garden in a quiet hanok [reformed hanok]. In the garden, people were enjoying refreshments along with the natural scenery and the weather. I thought it was just a historical site like a museum, but aren't they enjoying some pretty cool refreshments? Even a lot of people In the outdoor space, there were various seats, from the tongmaru to the pavilion in the center of the garden. Mosquito incense was lit here and there to enjoy tea in the outdoor space, and even that smoke comes out of a beautiful barrel. It felt good in many ways. There were at least a few traces that were touched for practical use, but also the will to keep the originals alive as much as possible. In particular, it was very strange to see Numaru in such a small hanok. - I don't know exactly, but it was a place where scholars usually studied, so maybe they should have discussed it here? look over it It was the home of a teacher who made a big mark on Korean short stories and a discussion forum for famous writers. I was so curious. I learned a lot from the scene I looked at for a few seconds. How many minutes have passed since I came back and waited? I was only thinking of that 'Numaru'. - According to the staff's guidance, there were 3 seats available, but there was no Numaru seat for that candidate. However, he did so because he could choose a seat in the main room that was immediately adjacent to Numaru. Looking back, the interior of Numaru is quite different from the appearance of the main room. Old looking wooden podium and drawers. It was such a beautiful place to see the sunlight coming through the window meeting the old trees. Among the writings written in this house, if we know it, 'Jin-i Hwang' is familiar to us, but still, thinking that it is a place where a person who drew a stroke in Korean literature studied a long time ago, my heart was magnified. And I imagined what kind of conversation I would have with the other 8 minutes. - Did you have a cough and keep talking as if you were playing Go, step by step? Or would it be better to sit at a local bar like we are now? I would have said it without hesitation. That was a really fun idea. If there is a stereotype of the profession of a writer, it is said that it is 'somewhat gentle', but I do not believe it at all. Because it is very unfortunate for me that people change their appearance depending on their occupation. Anyway, the funny imagination goes like this. - Soon after, the menu we ordered came out. #It's red bean bingsu stuffed with sweet pumpkin. Since childhood, the author has been particularly fond of red bean bingsu, which his mother often took to eat. I still like it a lot Because I am a person with a lot of heat, it is still hot, so I think I chose the word shaved ice at once. Moreover, there is a reason why I did not want to scroll again and look at other menus because it was not a paper menu. - Red bean shaved ice with a non-irritating taste. The sweet pumpkin has no artificial sweetness at all. Sweet pumpkin and red bean paste on milk shaved ice. Even the mild condensed milk that was sprinkled with a little rice cake seemed like a compatible version of the flavor I enjoyed when I was young. Was it because my heart melted in one bite? I fall into the memory and eat it at random by putting it in my mouth. Although I was scolded by the cold energy, it remained as a beautiful time as the light hitting Numaru. - I am always grateful that the space of the past is revived by keeping its appearance as much as possible in the present. I thought that this might be the only place that Korea will have and an important place to promote high culture. - It is here that nine writers led Korean literature long ago, and it is now a place where countless people are creating culture. - This is a hanok cafe located in Seongbuk-dong * #Suyeonsanbang. - *Suyeonsanbang = A group of people gather to read and study in a house in the mountains. - Location _ 8 Seongbuk-ro 26-gil, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul - There is a parking lot. - Business hours - Weekdays 11:30~18:00 Weekends 11:30~22:00 [Break time between 18:00 and 19:00] Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - Only part of the menu is attached. I'd like to see a picture that's enough to give you an idea of the price point. - PS. This space is being operated in accordance with the Corona Virus Prevention Guidelines in the metropolitan area. Please note that there is no inconvenience in using the space. It is a place that is difficult to capture with a camera. It is much more beautiful to see with your own eyes.
