“Such a wonderful space” The city of Sejong, which came out with the grand phrase “Central City of Administrative Complexity,” first comes to mind of spacious apartment complexes, but most of the area is occupied by mountains, rice fields and villages. This is because, like most metropolitan cities, it was created by absorbing the surrounding areas around Yeongi-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. This is a cafe in Jochiwon, a place that is a little different from the Sejong City we know, famous for 'Shinangol Bunsik'. Created by Hongik University College of Art and Design students, this place started as a project to renovate an old house. Although home remodeling cafes have become common now, it was a novel attempt when home remodeling was not so common when this café was created. Various designs such as furniture, spaces, and logos are handcrafted one by one using their majors, and the space is periodically reorganized, giving the impression of coming to a new place every time. The dessert composition and lineup change every month, and the owner, who graduated from Nakamura Bakery, conceived and made it himself, each time the taste is excellent. This month's lineup of Levain Cookies was selected with black sesame seeds for a while, and I was satisfied with the rich and heavy taste that remained for a long time. It's not a town to go to much, but behind Sejong City, where apartments are packed, such a wonderful place is hidden. In Daejeon, there is also a bus service, so it would be good to visit the suburbs or drive.
