When I saw the trailer for Kingsman, the Lansmere store crossed my mind. Looking back, it was a modern and elegant space that I had not encountered anywhere else in Korea. It contained the essence of the menswear culture that Cheil Industries had built up.
As all cultures move toward convenience over time, the trend of today's clothing culture is street/casual, and it is unlikely that men's wear will return to the mainstream for various reasons.
But there is always something worth exploring in the apex + something traditional. Even if it doesn't make money in the long run, it's a culture that someone wants to protect.
