Jung-gu, Seoul • Cafe
It hasn't been like that before, but these days, listening to hi-fi music that isn't carefully set up makes my ears tired. Nevertheless, I don't want to own LPs and related audio equipment, except for aesthetics, but I can see why LPs are still loved. Although the characteristic comfortable and soft tone will one day be replaced by digital Lo-Fi, I think the acoustic color and visual picture provided by the LP will remain as elements that people seek for a long time in the future.
It was a world that I had not yet experienced in person, so I went there out of vague curiosity. As soon as I opened the door and entered, I was able to experience as if the DJ was making music selections in front of my eyes through the counter where the LPs were placed. The feeling of this place is more like being invited to a DJ's room rather than a shop or cafe. For drinks, you can choose either tea or coffee. Maybe it was because of your mood, but the taste of coffee was also comfortable, as if someone had brought it home.
Those who listen to music on LPs will already know this place, but if you visit a cafe at least once, you will feel a different vibe. Unusually, there is a space for customers who have ordered coffee to sit and drink 100 meters away, so it is recommended to double-check the address.
