Located in Munhwa-dong, Daejeon.

On one side of the winding road under Bomunsan, an orange brick building is surrounded like a fortress wall. Climbing up the brick stairs, you will find Cafe MOSP, a lively resting space full of warmth as if dyed in the sunset light.

Through the long horizontal window, the city of Daejeon is embraced in the front and the vivid skin of Mt. Bomun in the back. Both the inside and outside of the building are finished with bricks, so there is no unfamiliarity inside and outside. The structure itself is just a monotonous cuboid, but a melodic line of movement was created by diligently dividing the space using temporary walls, furniture, and tiers. It is a small garden made of concrete, stone, wood and metal. Thanks to this, without a single door to open and close, a single space is divided into multiple intentions and functions, and at the same time shares the same air. It wasn't the sophisticated style of a bold emptiness and meticulous moderation for modern philosophy and thought, but I was very pleased with the lively atmosphere of moderate commerciality that I encountered in a short time.

There is also a hierarchy in space. Architects first analyze the site when designing. I grasp the rhythm of the land, light, and wind, and concentrate on the part that is the most highlight. So, just as there is a winning streak in the story, space also has a climax. If you go to a famous cafe or restaurant, there is a top seat, and if you can't get a seat, it's common to move to a good place out of jealousy. MOSP was on a mountain slope, and it would have been like the window where the city spreads out, but somehow it didn't seem special, and they actually enjoyed resting with their own satisfaction in their respective seats. It was a space like fallen leaves where the array of pyeongjangmyeons, not the pyeongjangmyeons consumed for the famous scenes, approached the famous scenes.
