The strongest evidence that we are Koreans

After money, the state is the most subtle invention ever made by man. Of course, compared to money, the boundaries such as land and language are divided to some extent, but a nation cannot be formed or maintained by itself. This becomes even more self-evident when we consider that conflicts and disputes that are not inferior to those between countries frequently occur within countries as well.

What makes us citizens of 'the same country'? It is the 'belief in identity' that we are people starting from the same root, sharing the same culture, and moving forward to the same place. Of course, that belief cannot be maintained by one or two methods or devices. From history to real life, a holistic agreement and cooperation are needed on numerous areas. For this reason, unknowingly and unknowingly, countries are making tremendous efforts to increase and sometimes use these identities.

Humans are animals that compare more than necessary and have endless greed. A country where these humans gathered has always tried to discriminate against other countries. And this superiority and inferiority has been confirmed through tragic conflict events such as war for a long time, but recently, it is becoming more gentle with sports and cultural exchange events. This can be found in feeling proud of the cultural status such as 'World Cup winners X times' or 'Kim Yuna, BTS, and the country of parasites' as much as the international status like G20.

Among these, if you could pick just one thing that all Koreans could be proud of, what would it be? There is no reliable data, but I think it might be Hangeul, personally. Although the significance of its existence is exaggerated a bit (for example, in the perception that 'the only script whose creator has been identified', the Cyrillic script used in Eastern European countries such as Russia has been created by the missionary Saint Cyril and his disciples. Hangeul is the only one in which the intention and principle of creation are all revealed) There is no concept of likes or dislikes in Hangeul. Everyone feels the value enough and is using it usefully.

Of course, language and writing alone cannot maintain the concept of a nation, but the fact that people agree to record and share their thoughts in the same script and try to maintain it is itself a very powerful and powerful language that unites us as a nation. It cannot be denied that it is a useful tool.

In this sense, the existence and reorganized permanent exhibition of the National Hangeul Museum, which records and meditates on the meaning of Hangeul, is not as provocative as compared to numerous other cultural facilities and exhibitions that take place therein, but there is a semantic reason for our attention and It has functional value.

This reorganized permanent exhibition was of a very high level in terms of design, and it was a wonderful exhibition in terms of appearance as it used a variety of media. However, the part that touched my heart the most was that, beyond simply emphasizing the importance of Hangeul, it tried to express the flow of stories that have been recorded in Hangeul from today's perspective, and those who cannot enjoy all the benefits of Hangeul, such as the deaf and speech-impaired. He was trying to express the language and characters he saw from the point of view of

In addition to the message contained in the special exhibition <My Room Songs: Let's Talk About Me>, we simply 'listen' and 'get to know' the lives, emotions and thoughts of all marginalized people represented by women who have been neglected in our history. You can feel naturally that you are focusing on the meaning contained in the process and the changes it can make. In the future, when you have children and can read and write, the first place you want to take them is to teach them the meaning.
