“It’s okay to take a break once”
-
'Villa (別莊)' is a house set aside in a beautiful place. We are more familiar with buildings built quietly around rice fields or fields because they are called 'byeolseo' rather than villas. 'Villa' can be said to be a more friendly structure in the West than in Korea. The purpose of the villa in English is clear from the word, as it is called 'Vacation House' or 'Summer House', and events unfold while the main character stays here for a vacation in #Call Me By Your Name, and in #Us or #Villa. As it happened, many horror movies are set in villas. For this reason, when we say 'villa', it is a building that is somewhat far from our sentiment, and is recognized as a space that can only be used by specific people. This is different from the 'pavilion', which can be used by any local residents.

Just because we're not familiar with it doesn't mean we shouldn't experience that space for the rest of our lives. 'Peak Square' is a space where you can experience a 'village' for a while in Busan, the city of the sea. 'Peak' refers to the state of reaching a mountain peak or the highest point, so this word is often used to refer to the 'Peak Season'. If you translate 'Peak Square', it can be interpreted as a square building on the mountain peak. Judging from the consideration of the owner, who saw and felt while enjoying this space, 'Peak Square', a villa in the mountain, is expressed as 'Peak Square' in other words. I felt like I was doing it.

In kindergarten, when a teacher asks children to draw a house, nine out of ten draw a house with a 'gable roof', a triangular roof. If the picture I drew as a child was actually realized, would it look like this? The tension is relieved by itself as they are so friendly.

Consideration for those who come to rest while looking at the sea is everywhere, but the first is a 'transition space'. This space, which connects two spaces with different personalities, is usually located between the outside and the inside, so that people do not feel uncomfortable with a sudden change of space. Again, it's a compromise between the noisy and dusty parking lot and a place to have a drink and relax. The corridor, which was made with a long roof extending down, deliberately lengthened the movement, making unpleasant and undesirable spaces farther apart. Even though the interior and the parking lot are adjacent to each other with a single wall.
-
Another one is a counter separated from the rest area. Because the counter is located in a separate building, it physically blocks elements that interfere with rest, such as the sound of ordering and grinding coffee. Thanks to this, people who live here can relax while looking at the sea and listening to music.
-
Usually, mountain huts have a fireplace, where people gather around the fireplace and have a conversation. Here, too, there is a space with a similar character: a large concrete table. where is the fireplace? There is a sea more beautiful than a fireplace, and there is no need for it. People gather around the table and start making memories while looking at the sea. Even if it's the first time they've met, the rest of the party feels a sense of unity just by looking at one scene in one space at the same time.

Even though it was a place to rest for a while, thanks to the attention of the owner who was considerate of travelers everywhere, we were able to rest properly even for a short time. Rest is very important to us, who have more working days than rest days. Like the main character who came to the villa on vacation, this space that allowed him to rest properly even if he took a break is 'Peak Square'.
