Kukje Gallery presents Ugo Rondinone's solo exhibition 'nuns and monks by the sea' in Seoul and Busan simultaneously. The method of presenting works in different spaces at the same time is a method often taken by the artist, with 17 watercolor works in Busan and 'nuns + monks', a large-scale bronze sculpture series in Seoul as the main axis, and small heads of different colors on one huge stone. We present five pieces of a kind of anthropomorphic figurine. The work, which was originally made as a small-sized limestone model, was scanned, enlarged, and reborn as a bronze casting. said to have been The exhibition space was transformed to look like a single concrete by applying cement to the entire space to reflect the artist's intentions. By removing boundaries, it not only redefines that horizon, but also metaphors the serene state of transformation inherent in the stone.
