Geumjeong-gu, Busan • Cafe
Seonyudo Won, a newly opened cafe in Seondong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan, is inspired by the area's name, which implies a place where immortals once lingered and strolled. Architectured by Sung Ho Ko, who built the Chilamsagye in Gijang, Busan, it reflects his signature use of static material properties and 'borrowed scenery' to incorporate the beautiful nature surrounding the site inside and out. The calming landscape, along with three distinctive buildings: Dongcheon, Dongjae, Seojae, a stone garden, a silver grass garden, and a backyard, all contribute to creating a contemporary paradise where anyone can rest as if they were immortal themselves. Noteworthy features include the brand character of a peach, which immortals are believed to have eaten, and the signature menu of Baekdoo Dragon Tea integrated into the bakery. The daily baked bread and beverages using natural fermentation match the wonderful ambiance. ✔ add. 64, Sanghyeon-ro, Geumjeong-gu, Busan 🚘 Parking available
