Vines wrap around the space

As mentioned in Part 1, this is a summer country. Therefore, there are many spaces that can be freely used on the street or without boundaries inside or outside the space. This is one of them, and it is a space that makes good use of its strengths. Again, this is a space that cannot be experienced in Korea.

We cannot easily see the shape of the building's face [elevation: looking at the building from the front] in connection with the interior. This is because the face and interior of the building are cut off by a window or wall as soon as the condition to satisfy the four seasons is applied. Just by looking at this building, you can see that the external curves freely move in and out of the space to create a space. This device not only serves as a decoration, but also serves as a handrail for the stairs. It also rises from the floor and becomes a desk, as well as a partition wall on the ceiling. It is literally the formation of a designed space accompanied by not only decoration, but also aesthetic and functional things. This curved surface is projected onto the floor as it is on the first floor and then rises slightly above the floor again. Some are chairs for customers, and some are lifted up a bit to become desks. And the curve continues to traverse the space and move freely without going up or down. It also builds a kind of visual movement system and weaves the richness of space. The system of space here is the same as in Korea. Order and get a numbered ticket. And if you put it on your desk, they bring you a drink the size of a week.

The difference from Korea is more clearly revealed on the second floor. Because there is no winter, the second floor has no windows. There is no separation between the outside and the inside. In particular, if you go up the curved staircase viewed from the outside, you will find the space on the second floor, but this time the curve visually connects the first and second floors. At the same time, it also provides seating. Above the head, this curve continues to be applied decoratively, but if you feel it for a little longer, it plays a role of dividing the space into small pieces. This curve gives vitality to the square-shaped box that could have been monotonous in a way. Continuing to identify morphological advantages, it serves both aesthetically and functionally. Interestingly, this space is located right next to the Architectural University of Ho Chi Minh. For that reason, I was able to see many college students doing their own work with laptops.

The fun of peeking at their designs and enjoying coffee in an already fun space has been a great experience for me. In a way, in the floor plan [the view of the building cut horizontally and looking at the floor], there was a line drawn like a nang-kull, but in the cross-sectional view [the building cut like a cake and looked inside], that curve makes the space three-dimensional. You can see it's going up and down.

As a Korean who lives in four seasons, it is a moving piece of work that it is not simply a decoration but also a function, and that it can be freely connected to the inside and outside thanks to the weather.
