Etretat
Scenic Normand, Etretat Beach and Elephant Cliffs
It is said that there are many cloudy days in Normandy that it rains 360 days out of 365 days. It was June when I went, and the wind was so cold that I had to wear a padded vest because it was cloudy. Nevertheless, the vast green hills and cliffs that spread out against the wide sea were really cool.
Etretat's specialty is the cliff called Elephant Rock. There are three arch rocks, called Dad, Mom, and Baby Elephant depending on their size. A little different from other lively summer beaches, Etretat's beach had a lyrical and calm atmosphere. If you go up the hill, you can see even more wonderful scenery, so it would be good to climb the Elephant Hill while feeling the atmosphere of Normandy.
