If you go to Hanoi, you must go to the famous train route. The reason it's famous is that you can really watch the train pass in front of you.
Now that I think about it, it's really dizzying, but when I travel, I feel confident and fearless. There are densely packed shops on the side of the railroad tracks, and there are 1-2 small chairs in front of them. Then, if you sit in the seat of the store that the guide will designate, you can truly experience the train passing right in front of you. It's a bit scary, but it's a unique experience that can't be done in any city other than Hanoi, Vietnam, so I recommend it at least once. Staying in a place where this kind of situation is common for a while will be a strange and fun experience in itself.
