Roast in Hong Kong
Yongsan Station, Seoul • Restaurant
Is this Yongridan-gil or Tsim Sha Tsui!? A Hong Kong-style BBQ Restaurant. Every visit to Yongridan-gil brings about hotspots, and this time, it's a BBQ restaurant that captures the essence of Hong Kong. They operate during lunch and dinner, offering simple meals for lunch and various dishes to enjoy with alcohol for dinner, including their signature BBQ platter. The BBQ platter includes four types of barbecue and pancakes to wrap the meat in. The crispy skin pork belly called Siu Yuk, Hong Kong-style fried chicken marinated in soy sauce called Xiao Kai (soy chicken), char siu glazed with honey sauce, and chicken boiled with turmeric called Pak Chit Kai (golden chicken) are part of the platter. The taste is exactly as one would imagine, highly fulfilling the expectations. Crab Tofu, ordered for something more, was delicious with crab roe sauce and soft tofu filled to the brim, exuding a rich crab aroma. For drinks, the Hong Kong Night cocktail made from Taiwanese single malt Kavalan and Hong Kong-style milk tea was tried, along with the Oolong Highball mixed with black tea. The place seems already popular but feels like it will continue to be a hotspot. The curiosity for other menu items while eating is a sign of a truly great place. As long as there are no disappointing dishes, it seems likely to visit now and then. BBQ platter $43.0, Crab Tofu $11.0, Milk tea cocktail $9.5. Open daily 11:30 - 22:00.
