Five Oars Coffee Roasters is reopening at its former location back in Tanjong Pagar! Its new name, 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, pays homage to where it all started. The new space takes on the same Balinese-inspired decor as their first with dark wood accents and khaki green colour scheme, vastly different from how it started in Tanjong Pagar. 🌿 Unlike their first ever concept, they’re serving wines, craft beers and even their own shaken cocktails. 🍸

We ordered from the night menu as the day menu will only be ready on its official opening. The 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗽𝘀 is a winner for us - plump, juicy and nicely-seared. XO sauce is added to give it more flavour and sweetness! 🐚 Back in the OG outlet, 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲 is one of their signature dishes, which is also available in the new menu. This time, however, it’s served on a crostini and topped with a spoonful of caviar. The beef is firm and chewy, nicely-seasoned and just a tinge of gaminess. 🐮

They’ll officially opening on Monday, definitely thinking about heading back for brunch! 🍳 There’s also a hidden secret within the same compound, so stay tuned to find out what it is. 😏
