MODERN IZAKAYA & SOCIAL DINING SPACE WITH A CONTEMPORARY TWIST! 🇯🇵🍸

Among the nightlife-centric Boat Quay, there’s no shortage of Japanese izakaya establishments. However, among the crowd lies one with a modern concept and unique take on their food. Ju95 shoos away from the classic wooden look and took on a sleek classy approach with dark walls and concept ceiling light fixtures. 🎏

The innovative menu is the brainchild of Head Chef Louis Lee, who was involved in the fine-dining scene before deciding to start his own space. This isn’t like your ordinary hole-in-the-wall izakaya establishment with sub-par yakitori sticks. What we had here was something that would give casual dining restaurants out there a run for their money! 🫢

For lunch, they go by a 3 or 4-course menu with the difference being an additional starter. The 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲 doesn’t smell of game and is so fresh that you wouldn’t believe its raw beef. 🥩 The 𝗞𝗼𝗷𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗟𝗲𝗴 is served atop seaweed rice, which is literally stacking ‘umami on umami’. The duck isn’t tough at all with an intense savoury sweetness. 🍗 The 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 is amazingly juicy and tender, bursting full of tangy smoky goodness when paired with the relish. 🥪

Ok enough with the food, let’s talk drinks. Choose from one of their signatures, such as the 𝗡𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗷𝘂 and 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗲, or go for the bespoke option to push their creativity to the limits!🍸 One of our briefs was ‘tropical’ and they nailed it with a midori base for that refreshing sweetness. 🍈 Overall, if you’re looking for a more refined dining experience, we highly recommend checking this place out! ☺️
