MODERN HONG KONG CAFÉ OPENED BY CELEBRITY BENZ HUI’S DAUGHTER! 🇭🇰🍜

JuJu津津 is a new modern Hong Kong café in Wheelock Place that serves comfort H.K. fare and pastries. The space is opened by Charmaine, who is the same owner of @bakeaholic_sg and more popularly known as the daughter of TVB veteran actor Benz Hui.

Despite being limited by mall regulations, the store tried their best to maintain the look and feel of a Hong Kong café with its neon signages and wallpaper of Mongkok. 🇭🇰 The menu consists of the familiar comfort fare which you can find in Hong Kong as well, such as the 𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 & 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗼. 🤩

The noodles were like your ordinary Nissin instant ramen, but portion is generous. The 𝗝𝘂𝗝𝘂 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 is our favourite! The curry is like a thick gravy and the fishballs are fried to give it that extra springy texture. 🥘 The 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗼 & 𝗝𝘂 𝗝𝘂 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗮 were disappointing though. The bun lacks the crunchy sugary crust and way too much salted butter was used. 🧈 The milk tea would be nice if its sweeter and the tea has a strange stale taste. 😔

Overall, we felt that there might be some things the team need to re-work on but we believe it has potential to be a great teatime spot! ☺️
