And in order to revive the declining Yeongdo region, the company carries out a symbolic project in connection with the region. 'AREA 6' at the entrance to Bongrae Market and 'Samjin Fish Cake' next to it. Yes. The project 'AREA 6' carried out by 'Samjin Fish Cake', a company that represents Yeongdo, is a space that serves as a priming water for Bongrae Market and Yeongdo.

As an urban regeneration project, this is a space that connects local cultures. Brands based in Busan gathered together to form a courtyard, and made an alleyway between them. Therefore, it is not awkward because it naturally connects with the market road and the surrounding neighborhood roads.

It is a space arrangement that is too natural and friendly to say that everything was created from nothing. In fact, this is the site of six old houses. At the time of the project, an attempt was made to preserve six existing houses, but it was canceled due to structural problems, leaving only traces of the house. It is also the reason why the space composition without right angles stands out by arranging the building up to the allowable part and referring to the existing layout of the house.

Urban regeneration is different from remodeling. The same thing is that both create new experiences with better spaces through recycling, but urban regeneration adds one more element. To preserve the memory of a place that has stayed with us for several decades, while reconciling it with the present age. So, in the future, it should be possible to provide a variety of stories to various generations.

Like the name of this place, it was created by adding the number '6', which symbolizes six existing houses, to the word 'AREA', which combines 'A' in Artisan, meaning artisan, 'RE' in regeneration, and 'A' in alley Avenue. Also, while preserving the memory of the place at that time, it tries to connect the time of the newly built Samjin Fish Cake Building and Bongrae Market. Therefore, this place is trying to tell various stories to our current generation and future generations who will experience the space in the future.
