POPULAR HAWKER BARISTA MOVED TO A HOLE-IN-THE-WALL COFFEESHOP! ☕️

A year ago, Mad Roaster first opened their doors in Amoy Street Hawker Centre, with the good intentions of offering job opportunities to asylum seekers from Thailand. With the hawker centre now closed for renovation works, the owner Madeline decided to move its operations to their own humble space within Bukit Merah! 🇹🇭

Even after shifting, the café maintains their low affordable price, starting at $3 for an espresso. Alongside the conventional espresso beverages, they have some interesting flavoured ones like the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲. It’s perfect for people who prefer sugar with their coffee, with a strong buttery aroma and syrupy sweetness. 🧈 Aside from coffee, there’s some homemade babka which is a glazed sweet bread that isn’t too heavy and pairs well with their sweet drink options. If you’re looking for something more savoury, try out their new 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 which is oozing with cheesy goodness! 🧀

The place is pretty out of the way, and do expect longer waiting times when there’s a queue since it’s just a person behind the counter.
