OLD-SCHOOL “MAMA” PROVISION SHOP SPEAKEASY BAR! 📺🍸🇸🇬

Throwback to your primary school days of collecting country erasers and sucking on colourful ice pops. 🍬 If you don’t remember those times, you’re probably too young to even enter this bar. Mama Diam is a new speakeasy bar that stirs up the heartstrings of local Millennials with their 𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢 shop theme! 🍧

The entrance is built just like how a traditional Mama shop would look - from the old-school candies to the ancient orange payphone. 🤭 The alfresco area is also decorated with the iconic blue round tables you see in old void decks. Push open the magazine book shelf and be transported to the fancy side of the bar! 🥃

The menu is heavily inspired by local flavours with their own twist. We got the 𝟵 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, which is great if you want to sample everything. Just like Singapore, you can find a mix of cultures and flavours in this 𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘦 set. 🇸🇬 The 𝗢𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗼 stood out to us the most as the sauces help mask the fishy taste from the raw oyster. 🦪

On the drinks, the 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿 has a clear coconut fragrance and the whiskey adds a kick to it. 🍃 The 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮’𝘀 𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗶 is exactly how alcoholic 𝘬𝘰𝘱𝘪-𝘰 would taste like. Their cocktails are pretty affordable too at around $16 a glass!
