WES ANDERSON STYLE CAFÉ REOPENS IN NATIONAL GALLERY! 🌸🍳

Two years ago, a humble restaurant closed their doors in The Great Madras Hotel. A twist they promised, and happened it did. The Great Mischief have once again reopened their doors, this time with a swanky space right next to the Gallery Shop at National Gallery Singapore. 🧈

If Wes Anderson owns a café, this would be exactly how we imagine it to be! 🤵🏻 Unlike their previous outlet, they went for a more refined, dreamy look with sleek booth seats and cosy furnitures. The aesthetics of the space certainly hit the mark!

Compared to the previous Catalan-inspired menu, the dishes seem to take on a simpler approach of classic weekend brunch. ☀️ We got the 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱é, which is like their version of the breakfast platter with choice of eggs. The Pimento beans is nicely seasoned and juicy, although a tad bit spicy. We would prefer our scrambled eggs a little more runny! 🍳

We got the 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝘁, which are crepés stuffed with poached pears and Camembert cream. The cream is super rich & thick with a sweet cheesy flavour. It would be better if the poached pears are not diced but rather whole, to give the crepés a bit more juiciness. 🍐

Overall, it was an amazing experience as the team is really professional and attentive despite today being their first day. Watch out for more, as they’re opening up their dinner service soon! 🍽
