Septime
11ème Ardt, France • Restaurant
Septime is an essential part of the neo-bistro scene in Paris. The course style at Septime is generally straightforward, highlighting the ingredients while adding interesting twists to the dishes. The food is described as free, unbound, comfortable, and creative. Especially memorable was the perfectly grilled monkfish with bisque sauce and a hint of mustard(?) seeds on top, reminiscent of eating the fresh roe of a crab. However, due to the frequent menu changes, it might take a few visits to fully appreciate the establishment's culinary pursuit. Septime's uniqueness is attributed to its longstanding atmosphere. The lively space, filled with guests who adore Chef Bertrand Grebaut's cooking, and the distinctive, natural service which blends well with it, might be experiences unique to Septime. A grateful dining experience.
