Tartine Bakery
California, United States • Dessert / Bakery
You can't leave San Francisco without stopping here! Although Tartine is already in Korea, I still felt the need to visit the original. I headed to Tartine to match their opening hours but arrived 30 minutes late due to the confusing San Francisco bus routes, only to find a long line already formed. It was a new feeling finally seeing the place I've only seen in documentaries and on YouTube. I ordered the famous banana cream tart and the pain au chocolat and bread pudding, which Phil loved in his Netflix documentary 'Somebody Feed Phil.' Currently, there's no seating inside, but there are a few tables placed outside. So, I took my bread and headed to Dolores Park! The pain au chocolat was insanely good. It's crazy how much chocolate they managed to fit in there. The crunchy exterior and soft interior, along with the abundance of chocolate that hits you with each bite, made it the best pain au chocolat of my life! And ironically, I have no picture of the pain au chocolat...
