"Because I can't shine alone"
-
In the middle of Dosan-daero, a building with a shape that seemed to cut through the sky entered. This is the 'Songeun Cultural Foundation's new building' that imprints the image of 'I am different from other buildings' from the shape to passersby.
-
Since the land price of the Cheongdam-dong site in Gangnam is huge, it should be designed with as many floors as possible without wasting space as much as possible, and even one floor wider. However, since architecture does not allow the architect to draw a line at will, it is necessary to consider and consider the relationship with the surrounding buildings while obeying various laws.
-
Jamsil Lotte Tower has established itself as a landmark in Seoul thanks to its tall, sleek, and beautiful exterior, but thanks to the ignorant increase in the number of floors without considering the relationship with the surrounding buildings, the neighboring apartments are hidden by the shadow of the Lotte Tower, blocking the sunlight. I couldn't see enough.
-
Unlike there, the current sharp design came to be in order to secure as many floors and areas as possible while guaranteeing the right of sunlight to the surrounding buildings. Of course, you would think that it was an inevitable choice to comply with building codes, but once you enter the lobby, you will start to question this idea.
-
In the expensive land of Cheongdam-dong, the entire first floor is used as a lobby to provide an open space to the citizens. Looking at the shelter where the citizens can sit and rest, it seems that they did not have much desire to secure the area. On Dosan-daero, where only cars can comfortably pass and stop between the dense buildings thanks to indifference, people can take a break while appreciating the work in a quiet, spacious and unobtrusive way.
-
Whether this experience was intended, the wood grain concrete feels warm rather than cold. The wood-shadowed exterior visually connects the wooden floor and stairs used in the gallery, further enhancing the good experience of the interior.
-
Unlike other buildings that are greedy to create their own profit in a capitalist society and squeeze our breath, 'Song-eun' here seems to know very well how their gestures in the city should reach and show citizens.
-
This is the 'Songeun Cultural Foundation's new building'.
