When eating sushi, do not eat it with a spicy sauce.
Whether the rice is seasoned well, or whether the sashimi is fresh and not fishy, you can feel the original taste and aroma of the ingredients. I also add a very 'slight' stimulus to add flavor.
This hotel is just that. It is a hotel that is faithful to the basics, neither sweet nor salty.


<Location is good first>
Courtyard Namdaemun is not like Aloft Myeong-dong or L7 Myeong-dong, Myeong-dong is within your nose if you really fall down. So it gives you a more relaxed feeling. I don't chatter. Rather, it is fun to walk to Myeong-dong, slowly look around Namdaemun Market, and then walk to Myeong-dong. Yes, it takes less than 10 minutes. After checking in, I rested for a while, and in the evening, it was pretty good to go to Shinsege, Lotte Main Store, and Myeong-dong after a long time.

I can see Namdaemun from the room I stayed in thanks to the location of the hotel.
(Please note that there is also a view of Namsan Tower.) If you are going on a vacation on the weekend, it is quite beneficial to put aside the hectic weekdays for a while, sip a cup of coffee and look out the window.


<Basic design and experience>
Since it is an area where tourists flock, from the place where you put your suitcase,
Moderately Korean design is presented. It has a typical room design and structure that comes to mind when we think of a 'hotel'. So, rather than having a very impressive brand experience, I had a calm and comfortable experience. However, the perception of 'luxury' persists due to the unique architectural design of the hotel lounge facing the hotel lounge just before checking-in and going up to the room. In order to control the perception of the hotel brand before guests experience the room, there is a way to focus on the lounge and lobby.


<Smoking rooms everywhere??> Unusually for a 4-star hotel, 'smoking rooms' are arranged on the 2nd, 3rd and 22nd floors. 'At the hotel...why?' You may think that So did I.

Ah...but I found out that the major shareholder of this hotel was KT&G.
Rather, it can be a welcome amenity for smoker guests. In fact, it is said that this smoking room was welcomed by Chinese tourists. (It had an impact on sales at the beginning of the hotel's opening.)

However, I didn't feel the smell of cigarettes leaking out.


For various reasons, I think Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun is a suitable space to keep your vacation quiet in Myeongdong.
