Essence has opened as it was in the old Opre place and interior. This is the new restaurant of Solay's Chef Kim Young-sun, who served French courses in the back alley of SSG in Cheongdam-dong. You can order only the food you want as a single item, so it is suitable for casual enjoyment, and considering the price, you can receive a high-quality wine service.

The tuna & olive dish and red shrimp & grapefruit dish ordered as starters stimulated the salivary glands with their bright sour taste, and the chicken liver mousse ~ scallop scallop dish ~ Heedbo pie was rich and heavy, so I was able to feel delicious and full. The thick jus de boeuf, matched with the main Hydebo pie, was a taste of bread and butter.

All dishes were satisfactory, but the scallop scallop dish is especially memorable because it is uniquely served with vanilla bean sauce & cherry & macaroni, so you can feel the restaurant's personality.

Compared to Fine Dining, there are many wine dining places near Gangnam that offer great food with less manpower, but Essence seems to have a unique position among them. If you are thirsty for a thick, heavy sauce, go to Essence.
