๐Exhibition Commentary: 11:00, 14:00, 16:00 / It is recommended to visit with commentary as much as possible.
๐Simple introduction: In the process of promoting the Gongpyeong-dong urban environment improvement project, the alleyways and building sites of the historic city of Seoul, from Hanyang in Joseon to modern Gyeongseong, were completely excavated and completely preserved in their original location.
-1F Permanent Exhibition Hall
Electric big house, alley ใ
-shaped house, small house on Imunan-gil
You can see the restoration as it is, and you can see the explanation of the foundation stones used, as well as the vessels, pottery, and roof tiles excavated from the land by era.
In addition, it is a place where the village of that time was reproduced, and you can experience the occupation of the time, and you can try tile-stacking, vr experience, etc.
๐View Review: The exhibition movement is dizzy (because you have to see the basement and the first floor together), and the commentator's explanations are clear and easy to understand rather than written explanations.
-Permanent exhibition hall on the 1st basement floor
It is a place where excavated remains have been moved to ancient times, and the structure of various houses during the Joseon Dynasty can be viewed up close, and the alleyways are reproduced, giving you the feeling that you are truly in the Joseon Dynasty.
-Special Exhibition Hall on the 1st basement floor โSeoulโs first urban park, Tapgol Parkโ
Prologue - Tapgol in Joseon Dynasty
Modernization of Hanyang and Tapgol Park
Gyeongseong City Park, Tapgol Park
Haebanggwon Seoul and Tapgol Park
Epilogue- Current Tapgol Park
This is an exhibition where you can examine the changing appearance, use, and value of Tapgol Park in the background of five eras.
๐View Review: I haven't been to Tapgol Park, but it was good to know the history and stories of Tapgol Park through this exhibition. There is Tapgol Park nearby, so it would be a good idea to visit Tapgol Park after seeing this exhibition.
๐ Overall Rating
I've never seen a place where the ruins found in the city were excavated and brought into the museum, so it's a new and valuable place. If you have a chance to go to Jonggak Station, it is recommended to visit at least once.
