MODERN MONOCHROMATIC ICE CREAM CAFÉ & BOUTIQUE RETAIL SPACE! ⚫️🔘

“Hey, when are you guys opening ah?” ”Sooner or later lor” Those three words were the inspiration behind this new café-slash-boutique retail space in Haji Lane. 𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 found a way to blend visually-appealing aesthetics with delectable desserts harmoniously. 🍨

Just walking along Haji Lane and you would notice how colourful and loud most of the shops are around that area. Not for this café, no, they certainly stood out from the crowd with their monochromatic aesthetics and uniquely-shaped fixtures. Heck, we tried lifting their tables outside and it felt like a deadlift set! 😅 The café occupies the first storey with minimal seating at the front and back, while the second level houses @plop.apparels’ retail space where you can browse their collection of curated vintage and reworked pieces. According to the owner Jermaine, the third floor is still a work-in-progress but we can be expecting great things from what’s already completed. 🧢

Their star of the show is the ice cream and waffles. We tried the 𝗢𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 and 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗵 flavours, both have a nice creamy texture and distinct taste. The waffles are our favourite as it isn’t heavy like other places, but crispy even after slathering melted ice cream all over. 🧇 The 𝗢𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮 and 𝗠𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼 teas cover both the fruity and floral flavour spectrums. 🍵 Aside from these, they have bakes from @thoughts.bake, a favourite of ours, as well as savoury options like the 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗸𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁 which looked so good! 🦀 So happy to finally have another late-night hangout spot in one of our favourite neighbourhoods. 😎
