TAKEAWAY SPECIALTY COFFEE BAR CONCEPT IN SOMEBODY’S HOME! 🏠☕️

It’s not everyday you would see a specialty coffee bar operating in your neighbour’s home, but that’s what residents of Block 241 in Pasir Ris get to experience since last week. 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 is a home-based specialty coffee bar concept that serves up decent joe right from the owner Hasif’s room window. 🪟

When we first arrived, we were lost as we were on the wrong side to his home. 😅 From what we understood, due to the overwhelming response, they’ve decided to shift their operations to the window facing the loading bay, so that there’s a larger waiting area to hold everyone in. They’re only operating purely through pre-ordering via Instagram DMs for now, and the menu is pretty concise with only six different drinks to choose from in a standard size. Sometimes, there’s also 𝗞𝗲𝗸 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘀 available as a sweet accompaniment, but it wasn’t available unfortunately. 🍰

We got the 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 and 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲. Coffee is well-balanced and has hints of caramel and nuts. We can’t really taste the vanilla though, but we thoroughly enjoy it as an iced white. ☕️ The chocolate beverage is also rich yet not too thick, with the chocolate that they used being more on the milky side. 🍫 The wait was slightly long, but it’s already impressive considering Hasif isn’t a professionally-trained barista but self-taught. Should you wish to visit, do check in to their Instagram daily for updates on the day’s operating hours and pre-order instructions. Who knows, with such good reception from the public, they might have plans in the future to occupy a space for their own! 😌
