F1963
Suyeong-gu, Busan • Entertainment
From a wire factory to a cultural complex, F1963 Located in Mangmi-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, the Suyeong Factory was the first factory to become the foundation of Korea Steel. From 1963 to 2008, for 45 years, it was a factory producing wire. With the Busan Biennale in September 2016 as an opportunity, as can be guessed from the naming that combines the first alphabet of the factory and the year 1963 in which the factory was established, F1963 transformed into a complex cultural space where art coexists, retaining the shape and framework of the original building and renovated according to the purpose and characteristics of the space. You can experience various cultural and artistic content such as bamboo forests and gardens resembling the straight and flexible properties of wire, Moonlight Garden with Crystal Garden, F1963 Square where performances and various events are held, and exhibition halls, libraries, bookstores, cafes, and restaurants.
