Mesm Tokyo, Autograph Collection
Tokyo, Japan • Hotel
“A hotel where you can enjoy the view of the past and the present, as if nature and technology were cut and pasted”
The rooms at MESM Tokyo, overlooking the Hamarikyu Silver Temple Garden, the private garden of the Japanese imperial family, boast an outstanding view among Tokyo's first-class hotels.
From the guest room window, you can see the Hamarikyu Gardens and the sea of Tokyo Bay just below your line of sight, and in front of your line of sight is the Rainbow Bridge that leads to Odaiba, and beyond the bridge there is a forest of buildings overlooking Asakusa's Skytree. Although there are no clear boundaries, the garden, the sea, the bridge, and the building show very different appearances as if dividing the field of view.
Nothing special about the interior of the rooms, but the great views make up for it all. Overall, I think you can fully appreciate the charm of this place by simply enjoying simple bar food and custom cocktails in the lobby lounge rather than staying. If the timing is right, you might even hear a live piano performance.
