๐Introduction
-Water and Environment Exhibition Hall
It is a place that contains a story about the importance of water and the environment. It helps you understand how the plants and animals live along the Han River and the water cycle, and reminds you that water should be conserved and protected.
Arisu has to go through 10 steps to reach a household, and if you compare water from around the world with water sold at convenience stores, you can see that Arisu is very cheap.
I never thought about using it all the time, but I was very grateful that clean water came out when I turned on the faucet.
-Main building (water pump room)
There are relics related to the story of the first water purification plant at Ttukdo Suwon, the starting point of Korea's modern water supply history.
After many processes, filtered tap water finally reaches the water pump room and moves through the turbine.
-Annex (water intake pump room)
In the past, this place was used to bring water from the Han River to the Ttukdo Reservoir.
I was able to learn things that were difficult to understand normally, such as how the water quality test for clean water is conducted, the story of a water seller, who is now a lost job, and the reason for replacing the water meter.
-Slow filter paper
It is an eco-friendly water purification facility that filters out impurities by passing water from the Han River through the sand layer and jagil layer. It is a reinforced concrete structure.
I had to go down deep into the dark basement, but there was no guide, so I couldn't challenge it and turned around at the entrance.
๐Visit tip: Visit all four places above, get a stamp, and take it to the Water and Environment Exhibition Hall to receive a souvenir. There were fans, ballpoint pens, and hot packs.
๐ Overall Rating
When I think about how much water is supplied to homes through many processes and our Arisu, which is being supplied at a lower price than other countries, I was able to feel really grateful. It was not a typical history museum, so it was nice to know a lot of new stories.
