The Rust, a freshly opened cafe in Tan Phu district, celebrated its grand opening on September 1st. It took me two visits to fully capture the space's ambiance for everyone. At present, I believe (if I may have overlooked anything) there aren't many cafes in Tan Phu that possess a vibe as unique as The Rust. The Rust's design divides into two spaces: indoors and outdoors. One can immediately recognize the camping style from the choice of folding chairs, small wooden tables, and various decorative items, accompanied by numerous plants throughout both the indoor and outdoor spaces, somewhat alleviating Saigon's current heat. The interior becomes quite cozy with intentionally designed large windows to welcome sunlight and connect with the outdoor environment. This design makes The Rust feel more like a familiar cafe spot for gatherings or relaxation with friends rather than a place for individuals to work or study with their laptops. Despite being located at the forefront of a busy street, visitors will instantly notice the stark contrast between the bustling street outside and the tranquil, airy space within The Rust, marking a unique aspect upon entering the cafe. The Rust's menu is quite diverse, offering a full range of coffee, tea, and pastries.
