Anselm Kiefer's solo exhibition, 'Who Now Has No House', is currently underway in France and Barjac, featuring the German-born Anselm Kiefer, who has been working on multi-layered themes triggered by historical, mythological, and literary materials, based on a sustained interest in cultural memory, identity, and history. This exhibition references not only Greek and Germanic mythology, alchemy, and Christian symbolism but also the works of medieval German poet and composer Walter von der Vogelweide, Romanian-born poet Paul Celan, among others, drawing inspiration from the poetry of Austrian poet R. M. Rilke (1875 - 1926) to present a total of 13 new paintings and installations. The exhibition, inspired by Rilke's poems that sing of change, transience, decay, and decline with autumn as their theme, features works that capture the dim outlines of trees, autumn-tinted leaves, leaves helplessly falling over time, and winter trees gradually taking on a gray hue.
