The National Assembly Building, viewed from the main gate, boasts the largest parliamentary building scale in Asia. Entering from Exit 6 of the National Assembly Station on Subway Line 9, the grand main building with 2 basement floors and 6 above-ground floors fills the eyes. At the entrance of the National Assembly Museum, there is a plaque saying 'The Hall of Democracy with the People' along with a statue of Ahn Jung-geun. The museum interior consists of a total of 4 permanent exhibition rooms, a planned exhibition room, a National Assembly experience hall, and children's museum, classrooms, etc., making you feel as if you've shaken hands with the speaker of the National Assembly as soon as you enter. The first exhibition room deals with the substantive activities and lives of independence activists following the March 1st Movement, opened in Shanghai, China, and the second exhibition room with major political history and legislative activities, while the third demonstrates the development of democracy along with the achievements of the National Assembly in a three-dimensional exhibition. In the last fourth exhibition room, one can see the voice of the people, the statements and activities of past National Assembly speakers, archive facilities containing these, and materials on foreign exchanges all in one place. The National Assembly Museum is essentially a special museum where you can learn about parliamentary democracy. It's an opportunity to contemplate democracy while looking at the changes and significance of the Constitution of South Korea. Those who wish to participate in the National Assembly experience hall and the children's museum program, which are conducted by a reservation system, can make a reservation through the National Assembly Museum website. In the National Assembly Building, which is entered with the guidance of a National Assembly tour guide, you can listen to the explanation of the work done by the National Assembly and tour the plenary meeting room where actual bills are processed.
