Taqueria Stan
Jung-gu, Seoul
Experience the vibe of Mexico with the tacos that you might have seen on Netflix's Taco Chronicles! If there's Villagero in the south, then in the north there's Taquerias Stan. If you're a fan of Villagero, you'll likely enjoy this place too. Though if you know Villagero, you probably know about this spot already... The main menu features tacos and quesadillas, with side dishes like chicken taquitos and dirty fries. Chicken taquito is a dish where meat is wrapped in a tortilla and fried. I could order shoulder, head meat, or chorizo for both tacos and quesadillas. I chose shoulder and chorizo for my tacos. ✔️Tacos: The taco is topped with meat, fresh onions, cilantro, and salsa. There was no overpowering smell of meat, and the freshness of onions and cilantro was delightful. Although I haven't been to Mexico to know if it's the authentic taste, with the satisfied expressions of foreigners and positive reviews, I'm convinced it's close. Oh, how I wish to visit Mexico... Villagero felt a bit heavy for me personally, perhaps because of the pork smell and texture. However, Taquerias Stan manages to maintain the local flavor while being more approachable. There's a feeling that I won't be able to just walk by if I see a seat available. 🧾 Tacos 3.8 Quesadilla 4.5 🕙 Daily 11:30 (Sat 12:00) - 20:30 (Closed Sundays) 📍 1st floor, Taechang Building, 5 Chungmuro 4-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
