Hyehwa / Daehangno, Seoul • Restaurant
A place where you can immerse yourself in Hong Kong's local food and mood. The colorful Chinese characters written haphazardly overlap with the scene of Hong Kong. These characters on the window not only make the building visible from the park but also give a feeling of being in Hong Kong while dining inside and looking outside. It’s a smart interior design. The inside is filled with retro props, furniture, and utensils that capture the years of Hong Kong. They advocate for all-day Hong Kong brunch dining. The menu covers all times from morning to evening, starting with Hong Kong-style toast loaded with condensed milk, familiar to us now, to brunch-friendly menus like youtiao and milk tea, and snacks like orange sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef to accompany a drink. Note that they are open until 2 AM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! 🍳Hong Kong street market fried rice This is a basic fried rice you can find anywhere in Hong Kong. The rice is nicely stir-fried until it's crispy, topped with bacon and a fried egg. The fried rice is really well made, and the seasoning matches perfectly with the bacon. The yolk of the fried egg, once burst, glimmers and oozes out, a true classic!! If you're satisfied with such a basic menu, you'd be curious about the other dishes! Seems like I'll visit again soon. If possible, it'd be great to have a drink here on a rainy day!! 🧾Hong Kong alley restaurant fried rice 9.2 Night market toast 6.4 🕙Open daily 11:00 - 22:00 (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays until 02:00) 📍129 Dongsung-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul
