Greenmile Coffee Bukchon
Jongno-gu, Seoul • Cafe
On my way home after visiting two Bukchon cafes I had recently posted about, I stumbled upon 'Greenmile Coffee Samcheong'. Seeing the modest sign, I thought, 'Greenmile Coffee? Where have I seen that before...?' It turns out, I had seen it near a cafe I used to work at in Jeju Island. A colleague had recommended their extraction method as fascinating, suggesting I give it a try. Despite being close, I never went during my year in Jeju. Now back in Seoul, encountering it in Samcheong-dong felt like I shouldn’t put it off any longer and walked in.
The extraction method my colleague mentioned was 'siphon coffee', which utilizes a pressure difference, but rather than delve into the specifics, I’d say it’s simply 'fascinating!' As someone who has worked with espresso machines, I’m interested in learning about brewing coffee manually, but 'siphon coffee' seems challenging, inspiring me more towards studying its extraction principles than wanting to learn the method myself.
I’ve been paying a lot of attention to staging when taking photos of beverages and desserts recently, as I feel the presentation is crucial. I’m always grateful for feedback on the staging.
It’s been a really tough and tiring day. I’ve been feeling exhausted, possibly because of working through the weekend without a break on a business trip to Chungju last week. Make sure to take care of yourselves and watch out for the seasonal flu!
