두채 doochae
Jongno-gu, Seoul • Restaurant
Cafe DooChae consists of two interconnected buildings, each with a completely contrasting atmosphere, making you feel like you're in different spaces even though you're in the same place. Located in Hyehwa, it's mostly populated by college students studying or working on their laptops during weekdays, making it a very quiet and appropriate place to enjoy leisure time. It's also a nice space to read a book comfortably. The white building carries a contemporary and modern vibe, while the brown brick building has been sensibly renovated from an old house to offer a warm and cozy ambiance. The cafe is large, quiet, and well-equipped with plenty of outlets, making it suitable for working.
☕️Coffee: The coffee has a light body and is not too strong.
🔌Outlets: There are many outlets available in both buildings.
🎶Atmosphere: The music is not too loud.
🪑Tables, Chairs: There are many tables and chairs suitable for working, though some in the brown brick building might be a bit low for working on.
✔️TIP: It's even better to visit during quiet times when the sun is out, like weekday mornings or weekend mornings.
