The LG Art Center, designed by world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, using glass and exposed concrete to express a simplistic yet robust architectural style, has relocated from Yeoksam-dong to Magok-dong and has newly opened today, October 13th. The newly opened LG Art Center is composed of a total of 3 floors, featuring an outdoor walking path, a performance hall with 1,300 seats, a small exhibition space where you can encounter Ando Tadao's masterpieces, a rooftop with an open view of the city, and a visually stimulating 80m long tunnel. A cafe called type, known for its sensuous space and branding, is also situated here. From the exterior to every corner inside, the building showcases Ando Tadao's characteristic exposed concrete technique, applied in a simple yet magnificent architectural beauty. LG Art Center will run an opening festival consisting of a total of 15 performances until December 18th, featuring stages by leading Korean artists such as Lee Eun Kyul, Park Jung Hyun, and the National Symphony Orchestra, along with numerous international performances.
