The LG Art Center Seoul, born from the design of world-renowned architect Tadao Ando, has been operating in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 22 years and reopened in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on October 13, 2022, under the new name 'LG Art Center Seoul'. Situated on the site of the Seoul Botanic Park, the LG Art Center Seoul incorporates the architectural philosophy of Tadao Ando, designing a building where nature blends into architecture. Three architectural concepts have been applied: TUBE, STEP ATRIUM, and GATE ARC. The center is equipped with a 1,355-seat multipurpose theater, an art lounge, TYPE Cafe & Gallery, and a rooftop, and visitors can also view art installations throughout the interior and a large-scale media artwork by artist Lee Lee Nam at the entrance. The TYPE Cafe & Gallery is hosting a solo exhibition by artist Kang A-Ran, 'Light, Interspace, Book', which is open until December 11, 2022.
