LG Arts Center
Magok, Seoul • Culture
LG Art Center in Seoul has officially opened. The LG Art Center, which operated in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, for 22 years, has been relocated and newly constructed in the Magok district. The performance venue was designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando. Key architectural concepts include the 'Tube,' an oval-shaped passage tilted about 15 degrees; the 'Gate Arch,' a huge curved wall in the lobby; and the 'Step Atrium,' stairs connecting from Magoknaru Station to the third floor of the auditorium. The LG Art Center Seoul opening festival will continue until December. It would be good to visit along with the nearby Seoul Botanical Garden.
