Ơi Deli - Cafe
Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam • Cafe
If you often wander cafes, Oi Deli might not be unfamiliar to you, and you might vaguely remember that I've shared my experience here before. Usually, I revisit a cafe for one reason or another. Have you noticed Halloween is nearing? If not, that's another reason to visit Oi Deli. For those yet to experience Oi Deli, it's a cozy, two-story cafe with a dominant white tone, making everything about Oi Deli gentle. Despite being in District 1, Chu Manh Trinh street, where the cafe is located, offers a peaceful and somewhat secluded atmosphere from the noisy central area, mainly because this street is less trafficked. This time, returning to Oi Deli, I found it changed, with Halloween's festivity nearing, displaying slightly spooky corners. The menu is seasonally adjusted, typically offered for about 1-2 months, so both of my visits let me try new items. If you're not into bustling noise but seek a tranquil corner for deep work, reading, or heart-to-heart talks, Oi Deli suits you. The cafe's music and staff service are as gentle as its style. The menu is diverse, including traditional, machine-made, and cold brew coffees, alongside teas, blended drinks, juices, and pastries. This Halloween, they introduced two new items in their seasonal menu named GHEO for you to try and enjoy. Pumpkin Latte & Vampire Juice - are two new GHEO menu items served only this Halloween season, so I ordered both. Pumpkin Latte is a pumpkin milk drink, a delicious and easy-to-drink option not widely available in Saigon's cafes, featuring a distinct pumpkin flavor with perfectly sweetened hot milk. Freshly ground pumpkin is mixed with pumpkin powder and milk for both hot and cold versions. Vampire Juice, a healthy drink combining beetroot, passion fruit, orange, pumpkin, carrot, and pineapple, delivers a distinct passion fruit flavor with traces of pineapple and beetroot. Those who enjoy fruit drinks should definitely try it. Besides, I also tasted Lemon Cake at Oi Deli, which was quite delicious and complemented the drinks. For those who like cakes, it's worth trying.
