Art museums always provide beautiful experiences. This is because well-prepared exhibitions are essential. Through beautiful spaces, people experience the satisfaction of "enjoying a sophisticated cultural life." Sometimes spaces themselves also provide cultural and artistic inspiration.

Today's space is no exception.

It seems like a tranquil neighborhood in Tokyo, not an area generally visited by tourists. However, captivated by one beautiful scene, I translated with a translation app, made a reservation, and visited the space. There was an exhibition called "Miraculous Tree" happening.

From the outside, it is not easy to see where to enter the space. At first glance from the outside, it looks like outdoor steps attached to a block-like building. However, once you enter through the basement, you can see that the block is enclosed in glass. In simple terms, it is like having a transparent dress on the block. Thanks to this, the steps become interior stairs, and the glass surface allows the weather to be completely brought inside.

In the basement, they meticulously cut and exhibit the root structure of the "Miraculous Tree." During a past earthquake, 70,000 coastal city residents died or went missing, and the trees near the waterfront were swept away. Only one tree survived the tsunami, and that tree became known as the Miraculous Tree. It is said that this tree also could not withstand another earthquake in Japan afterwards. The exhibition planner wanted to cut and exhibit the root structure of this tree in the basement and convey a message to future generations.

The exhibition in the basement floor is as described above. Next, using the indoor staircase that looks like an outdoor one, I moved to the exhibition room on the first floor. Here, a documentary about the Miraculous Tree is being screened. Interestingly, after watching the video, everyone takes off their shoes and climbs up to experience the beautiful space above their heads.

Although not a planned exhibition, this space functions as a permanent exhibition in itself. Many people slowly climb the floors, traverse the space, and experience it. And they admire the people on the other side as if they were works of art. The space, elegantly finished with red wood, turns every moment and scene into art as if it were a well-drawn picture.

The middle-aged man sitting by the window, the young man in the corner holding a camera and capturing the space, the student standing in the middle of the stairs and surveying the surroundings - all become works of art. The space becomes the background of these works, and every action of the people becomes a unique experience that is exhibited to each individual.

This space not only provides artistic inspiration and experiences to the viewers but also has the ability to turn people into artworks from the perspective of the observers.

In conclusion, when backed by exceptional spatial ability, this space serves as a great example of how a space can transcend into new realms.

This is <紀尾井清堂> <Seido Kioi> in Tokyo's Chiyoda district, where space becomes an exhibition and people become artworks.
