Cà Zone - Nguyễn Trãi
Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam • Cafe
Cà Zone - A brand new coffee corner tucked away in the bustling center of District 1 that I was tipped off by a friend last weekend. The moment I hear about a new place, I feel the urge to visit it immediately. The name Cà Zone, in my opinion, has been thoughtfully chosen by the owner to send a message that this is a haven for those passionate about caffeine-rich beverages to meet and mingle. Speaking of which, the shade of the logo reminds me strongly of something specific, which will resonate with those who understand :))) The design of Cà Zone combines rustic with a touch of vintage, hidden on the second floor of the old apartment at 145 Nguyen Trai, Q.1. The journey to find Cà Zone, starting from the parking lot to eventually reaching the place, is quite intriguing. Although not overly spacious, the thoughtful selection and arrangement of furniture, along with the design of large windows offering views of the green scenery and Huyen Sy Church, make the space feel open and airy. As someone who loves taking pictures, I'm drawn to places with abundant natural light. Yet, for those looking for a spot to study or work, the long tables at Cà Zone, equipped with plenty of power outlets, would be very appealing. Chatting with the staff revealed that Cà Zone will be hosting acoustic music nights on Fridays every week, making it a potential date spot. Furthermore, the space is also utilized for workshops, and I'm keen to see what future activities Cà Zone will offer. The menu at Cà Zone covers a variety of coffee, tea, cakes, and even snacks for those feeling peckish. I'll post the menu in my review of the items I tried at the café. - Cà Phê Trứng & Bạc Xỉu & Croissant - These are the three items I tried at Cà Zone. 1️⃣Cà Phê Trứng - This is one of Cà Zone's signature coffee dishes. The coffee is aromatic and rich, with the egg not being too overpowering, and is served with a dusting of cocoa powder on top. A must-try for egg coffee lovers. 2️⃣Bạc Xỉu - Another traditional coffee dish that is no less impressive than the Egg Coffee, I noticed it being prepared in three layers, likely representing its three main components: a layer of condensed milk, followed by a layer of fresh milk, and finally the coffee on top. The use of a drip filter adds to the coffee's rich flavor and quality. 3️⃣Additionally, I ordered a Croissant to go with it, which came as two small pastries reheated and served with a bit of condensed milk for dipping. Despite their small size, the croissants retain a chewy and fluffy interior, and dipping them in condensed milk enhances the flavor. - Menu is at the end. - 📷: @coffee.saigon 📍: Cà Zone - @cazone.saigon ⏱: Mon - Sun, 8:00-22:30 💵: From 32,000 VND 🏠: 2nd Floor - Apartment 145 Nguyễn Trãi, Q.1, TP.HCM 🛵: Parking available in the basement next door.
