Rope Space is a new cafe in Yeonnam-dong, sharing its space with the well-known coffee gem, Rope Coffee, and the interior design firm, Different. It's more than a simple cafe, offering a unique purpose with its versatile space use. The U-shaped table and chair arrangement next to the window on the ground floor, and an outdoor garden that competes with the interior space, give Yeonnam-dong a distinct vibe. The cafe operates over 2 floors, with outdoor terraces on each. Their coffee is delightful, and the friendly staff makes it an indulgent space for weekend visits with my wife. The pet-friendly aspect and a kids' zone are advantages, although the stairs to the second floor may require careful navigation. Among the myriad cafes in bustling Yeonnam-dong, it’s exciting to see how Rope Space will distinguish itself with its various appeals. You can choose from two types of beans, including three kinds of single-origin beans for filter coffee. I ordered a Colombian La Estrella Geisha Natural, which had a complex acidity with pinkish floral and fruity notes. The music in Rope Space is jazz, which fills the space without being overbearing. Lo-fi would also fit well, but trendy pop might not, so selecting music from instrumental genres is recommended.
